Citation

“Odette Auger displays continuous growth in her journalism career with tremendous storytelling potential and a solid plan to complete a full-length novel. With a firm grasp of her writing tools, lived experience, and raw-edged truth, Auger has created a distinct and powerful voice — direct, poetic at times, and gut-wrenchingly honest at the right intervals. There’s a subtle and brutal honesty in Auger’s writing that is coupled with a gentle wisdom that safely guides the reader through often difficult, but very real experiences for many Indigenous women.”—Joseph Kakwinokanasum, 2024 Fiction Mentor
